I still don't get why they wrote the whole "poisoned pin badge" thing to try give an explanation as to why Zero was like this in MGS4 fucking 30 years after TPP when he wouldv'e just naturally been like this because of old age anyway. I guess it was more about selling Skull Face as a bastard and to explain why he was able to commandeer XOF and essentially split it off from Cipher.
After playing through over half of MGS4's PC port, I must say this game sucks ass. Every complaint everyone has about the MGS series, is all concentrated right here. Plot that is retarded and gets more retarded as you go in? Yep. Endless fucking cutscenes all over the damn place? More cutscenes than gameplay. Gimmicky boss fights? I've literally had the game decide "No, you didn't GRAB vamp, you just grabbed ahold of him to throw him" when pressing the grab button.They couldn't even bother to playtest this piece of shit to make sure you can play from beginning to end without crashes, because the game will lock up hard after beating the MGS1 flashback sequence if you don't modify the game.

MGS 4 was honestly so fucking bad. Making entire MGS3 cast the Patriots was so fucking retarded and random. It was never set up, it just happened randomly off screen. The whole Cipher thing felt so forced and tacked on in Peace Walker. There's not a hint of any of that in the entire game, until you reach Chapter 5, you have to grind to unlock ZEKE battle, and Paz turns out to be a traitor in the last minute and drops more retarded off-screen Zero lore. It pisses me off.
