Why is this kino so underrated? Just beat it for the first time and was blown away. Not desu I'm not exactly deep in the mech game genre or anything but it really surprises me how I never hear about this.

The first one is just straight up not a good game that people just bought for the MGS2 demo so the sequel got mostly ignored despite being vastly superior in basically every way

>>748889510ZOE2 is the only thing in the entire series that's good by itself.ZOE1 just tells the story of the protagonist who's a whiny kid forced to do mech fights. The villains entire backstory and motivation was told in a prequel movie released around the same time. There's also a 26-episode anime TV series that further builds out the rest of the world and started airing shortly after ZOE1 released. Any one of these bits of ZOE media are disappointing by themselves as none of them paint a whole picture. And ain't nobody interested in watching 10 hours of anime just to get a bit more out of this PS2 mech game.
