I've only ever gone over 32gb usage a handful of times and even then i'm fairly sure that only happened due to aggressive caching due to having 64gb.

I'm happy with 48GB. My computer is using 11.6GB with 1 chrome tab open. Windows 11 is trash.

>>748902341Nah, you'd need gigabytes of L3 to reach that sort of all encompassing level. Some of the epyc chips are kinda close. The x3d chips show inconsistent performance precisely because a ton of modern games do not fit into cache and have to hit system ram (sometimes a lot). The 5800x3d is the best example - there are times the only chips faster than it are other x3d showing when you aren't slowed by waiting on ram what sort of throughput you can get, others it hangs around something like a 7600x because the cores themselves are only so performant.This cherry picked example highlights this - something like a 14900k runs at over a gigahertz faster, has more IPC and more cores yet is slower 'cuz its waiting on memory access whereas the 5800x3d is not.
