Retro Space just came out yesterday and nobody cares?
they putted an indian on the cover
is it any good for an imsim? I liked Deus Ex but didn't necessarily enjoy System Shock 2 all that much, despite it having a decent atmosphere and aesthetic.
>>748896960It’s fucking amazing. Lots of interconnected areas and ways to tackle and explore ovjectives.
>>748896998I'll consider taking a look but hopefully my potato pc will not get in the way of giving it a try
>>748896791Starfield's a better space game.
>>748897329Lmao.
>>748897329Kill yourself
>>748896791as an avid system shock/ss2 slut (I enjoyed CTRL ALT EGO), retrospace is mid.
>>748898964How is it mid?
What are some other good immersive sims?
>>748896791I'm playing it negroni
>>748897329>Mario is a better platformer than Call of Duty
The normal difficulty is kinda bullshit. You can't even buy ammo so I already have none but the game throws ranged enemies that instantly kills you. I have to crawl in dark too so they won't spot me. And the turrets are also gay. I bet the difficulty is dogshit because the game is like 4h long and they had no other way to stretch it.
>>748898964System shock 1 is not an immersive sim.
>>748900221How is it 4 hours long? I’m 9 hours and haven’t even beat the game yet.
>>748896791>>748896998Is it actually interconnected, because interconnected maps are my crack. Please no lying.
Do you believe him, /v/?
Should I get this or Gloomwood?
>>748900605Its not? Why isnt it
>>748896791I care, I play it. Pretty good so far.
>>748897329Literally find the closest train tracks and stay inside them until a train comes and then stay some more.
>>748903403Well I like stealth games so gloomwood for me. But this one is also secretly a stealth game with light gem and hiding in shadows that actually work. Just pirate it.
>>748903403You should get retro space. Gloomwood is still early access and won’t be finished until at least 5 more years.
>Learned how to essentially double jump thanks to a grafittiNeat.Picture unrelated, no idea what this means yet, but I'm saving it here in case it matters later.
>>748903313Who cares?
How long is the game? How are the areas?
>>748898964That was my instinctual reaction watching the trailers on the store page. What made it mid?
>>748903313No, the poster art is 100% AI generatedHe's lying
>>748896791>>748898964Back when I was a teen I would replay Arkane games (dishonored games and prey) for hundreds of hours. Unfortunately due to my backlog, I would only play this game once and dump it in my ps5, so I will wait for a sale like a pig. Ctrl alt ego was a ton of fun albeit anticlimatic and you can see the budget limitations (and also be impressed on how far they went despite them).I wonder why you dislike retrospace. >>748900605>>748903643I love "immersive sim" games, but the definition should be scrapped. Streets of rogue, Baldur's Gate 3, and rainworld are very much "immersive sims" in many ways yet don't fit the 1st person standard for the definition. Heck Far-cry 3 and cyberpunk are closer to traditional imm-sims than system shock 1.
