I want to play a new game like Bully and i'm tired of waiting. How hard is to make one myself

Plays like Godhand or Yakuza and I also want it to have multiple romantic interests including a lonely christmas cake teacher, tsundere stacy, genki tomboy etc.

Effectively impossible

Also the OST will be like this j-rock like MGSR
final boss will be a fist fight on a rainy rooftop against your rival from other house https://youtu.be/dr_8IfiCyVM?si=vuq8ReP-C9pTvom1&t=68

>>748897278
I can throw money on it but not a couple million
>>
Making a game so you can play it sounds stupid. You already know 100% of everything about the game and after thousands of hours making the game, you're god damn sick of it and never want to see the thing again
>>
>>748897602
You're right, but i would be happy to see other people enjoying my vision too

There's just a huge vacuum in the market for games set in highschool, Hogwarts Legacy was a disappointment
>>
You won't do shit. You're just an "ideas guy" like everyone else.

Mechanically it's easy enough to do. But the logistics around the current era where feelings and mental health of fragile people are the primary concerns, a game where people are mocked for their appearance or cliques is socially impossible unless it was a school of browns and women and all the losers were white guys. Also it couldn't be called 'Bully' because bullying itself has been declared toxic behavior, even if everyone still does it all the time.

>>
>>748898480
Yeah whatever i would just post online for free when i'm done and if Steam doesn't allow it (doubt) so be it
>>
>>748898071
Why are you so fucking negative all the time
>>
>>748897537
Id give you two million if I had it but the game would have to star Debra then also. Also the plot is she has to infiltrate the school as a teenager by going undercover.

BECAUSE I'M MAD AND DEPRESSED THAT I BURNT OUT AND MY OWN IDEAS NEVER CAME TO FRUITION, MY SKILLS AMOUNTED TO NOTHING AND NO ONE ELSE'S IDEAS ARE *GOOD ENOUGH*

I'm 34 years old. If I bought Bully on Steam and played it for the first time, would I enjoy it? Or is it meant for children and the charm is basically all gone? I'm not especially interested in reliving high school days. Being a kid isn't as fascinating as being a more mature thinker, even though I do miss the freedom and sense of adventure and boundless optimism and such.

I'm 26 and i did

>Or is it meant for children and the charm is basically all gone?
That's Hogwarts Legacy

Bully is where you can do fun stuff like spy on teenage girls, date them, beat teachers up, beat other college students, miss class etc
>>

>Or is it meant for children
It's the last of the old Rockstar games before they became the perpetual GTA machine, what do you think?
>>
>>748897263
You have to understand that the problem was never the tools but rather personal impetus
The process will never become so frictionless that someone who can't even research stuff or ask in an appropriate setting is capable of accomplishing it
Spend some time in /agdg/ to see the sort of sad shell you might become if you remain on this path

Bully is like a purgatory or dream version of the American school experience. It combines the 50s-90s school eras into one big, timeless version of school that many kids had over the years. It tries to give you that idealized version of a school experience, but through the rockstar parody lenses. Its a great game, and you will not wish you could've gone to the school and made friends with these particular kids. Its not like persona wish fulfillment. But its a great game nonetheless.
>>
>>748899024
Not sure. I haven't really played much Rockstar outside of Vice City and GTA IV. I figured GTA was always their bread and butter.
>>748899006
Good to hear. I do really enjoy certain movies that take place in high school, but because they depict formative moments as a child becomes a man, e.g., Dead Poets Society, Dazed and Confused, The Holdovers.
>>748899097
Gotcha. I'll give it a shot sometime. Thanks.

what brand of /lit/ fart-huffer is this

I think best part of Bully was small but lively open world
Literally every single NPC had an interesting design and personality
So do that
Design a massive chast of characters that just wonders around the game
>>
>>748899338
I didn't mean to come across any type of way. Just stating my preference based on where I am in life today. Bully sounds like it's clever and fun, so I'm interested.
>>
>>748899404
isn't that basically RDR2, KC2, and BG3, except that they also have huge worlds

>>748899404
That is the plan, although i wanted to include a way for bikes to be relevant in gameplay
And if you romance the teacher you unlock her motorbike that doesn't waste stamina
>>
>>748899604
Rdr2 had too many amibant npc and while KCD2 had really detailed npc

In bully every single character felt like archetype and personality almost like a tv show and it gave the same a lot charm and soul

>>748899689
Well strive to make a small prototype with small scholl section and 12 or npcs

Pre-planned DLC would be a zombie apocalypse ala Dead Rising/Undead Nightmare x Highschool of the Dead
