>>748902931probably just microsoft being retards
>>748903073Didn't they release a Zoo Tycoon for Xbox a few years back and it was trash
>>748903117yes they've released like a half dozen shit-ass zoo tycoon games starting with 2 and stretching across all kinds of bullshit consoles and handhelds and mobile. and then a reboot on PC a while back that really didn't hold a candle to Planet Zoo
>>748903247I couldn't get into planet zoo, it was too autismo. It had the same problem as planet coaster, that game was ruined for me when they patched in staff needs and made cashiers need staff. Suddenly the game became 75% micromanaging staff schedules and bathrooms
>>748903549i bounced off planet coaster like six times and then it finally clicked with me, beat the whole thing and had a great time making a random park.Planet zoo was something my kids wanted but i wound up playing it through as well because all the Planet Coaster skills transfer over.took me ages to realize that food related toys for animals replace their normal food dishes. i was so fucking angry that my zookeepers weren't restocking food trays, not realizing all the food my animals needed was being jammed into balls and stuff
>>748903549I unironically think that's the issue with most modern sim games, where they try to make everything so incredibly micromanaged to the point where it's just not fun anymore. I shouldn't have to hire individual janitors to make sure that toilet stall #37 is scrubbed properly. What made the original Zoo Tycoon so fun was that anyone could pick up and play it and immediately come to understand the mechanics. You shouldn't need to watch a 3 hour long tutorial and then wind up befuddled by an issue you encounter several dozen hours in that you need to Google search for.
