>System Shock 2 remaster free on Epic>get it an play>have more fun than with any other game in yearsWhy are old games so much better than new games?
>>748913271Better world
>>748913271you're playing the bad new version though
>>748913326>1999Yeah, a better world, before the big bad thing happened and ruined it all forever
>remaster
>>748913271The gaming industry started to decline when it became more corporate and the last decade it has completely turned to shit due to all the activists that try to lecture everyone. Didn't used to be like this. Used to be you just have a bunch a nerds making shit just because they thought it was cool.
>>748913271you're literally playing a 2025 game
because nerds used to make games. now suits does
>>748913653>>748913569>Used to be you just have a bunch a nerds making shit just because they thought it was cool. This is still a thing and actually more common than ever, but you just call them trannies because you refuse to play anything that isn't popular and accepted.
>>748913705and because they are trannies
>>748913271Would literally need Epic to pay me to play on their platform
>>748913705Name one example.
Be honest, would you become her slave?
>>748914224Ironicalñy they already tried that by gifting people games every week. Doesnt work.
>>748914414No that's giving me a free gameI would literally need money deposited in my bank account per hour to use the epic games store
>>748913271Because the decline of the industry started circa 2007-2008, when the "casual gamers" (read: NON-gamers) became the new #1 target audience for the big publishers, fueled by the smashing success of Nintendo's Wii, Facebook slop, AND the new smartphone mobile slop. Before that, it was mostly small-ish groups of inspired, passionate nerd buddies, making games they wanted, trying to both challenge the gamers + flex with their tech and art skills. That quickly became "too risky" for the AAA business fags, after crap like Wii Sports and Angry Birds started printing BILLIONS overnight. Now the new meta was "How can we make our games cheaper, faster, and demand less effort? AND how do we make people pay for the same shit, again and again, for the next few years??"
>>748913271honest passion for vidya
>>748914374>Become a badass Cyborg warrior with much more autonomy>Directly stimulates every pleasure centre of my brain when I'm a good boyHonestly? Yeah, probably. Though I'd ask her if we could lay off Earth and go do our own thing elsewhere or fuck up some aliens instead
Abiotic factor was betterMinus the layak
>>748913271>The person in charge used to be a guy who has done what I do for a living and is just as, if not more, passionate and knowledgeable about the craft and our business>The person in charge now doesn't care about any of that. He just wants to make as much money as possible as quick as possibleAs shrimple as that.
>>748913271You thought RETVRN was just shitposting? The world was better in every aspect before the jews finally killed it.
>>748913271>actually good game from Timmy Fortnitedamn, what a time to be alive
I should get around to finishing an impossible difficulty run. The cargo bays are brutal, but I think if I can get past them I'll have enough resources to do the rest of the run.
>>748913271I replayed it a couple months ago and enjoyed it enough to replay it again a few days later. Of course the game isn't perfect but it does a lot of things well. One thing I noticed that I really enjoyed is that the game just lacks visual clutter. I get tired of a lot of newer games especially looking like a vomitous mess of overdetail.
>>748914374it didn't really go so well for diego but I'm built different so yes
>>748913271Is there even any reason to play the anniversary edition over the original? I don’t care about multiplayer.
>>748913396it's literally the best way to play the game right now
>>748914374Nah.
>>748915860you can easily skip many locations if you remember door codes
>>748917283The old version worked fine when patched.
>>748913271>Why are old games so much better than new games?Because there were no women involved in making them.
>>748914374They ruined her design in the demaster.
>>748914717>I’d ask her-Great way to get your brain uploaded into an infinite torture simulation.Do not question your god, insect.
>>748914520This. One time I unironically bought one game that was free on epic store but was 10$ on steam.
>>748917809this one is free and is already patched
>>748913271LGS did Ken Levine's homework for him (he's a hack btw)
So are never getting any other immersive sims?
