They changed the skill system to free you from having to boost up stuff you won't use just to unlock the next tier.i don't think they changed the enemy AI, so they still attack like they always attacked.

I recently finished the game with the 4.04 patch. I was pretty happy with the combat save for fighting a few enemies namely all in blood and wine like centipedes, plants and panthers. This new version feels even worse. My dodges feel very slow and with heavy cool downs now. Not to mention somehow despite having path tracing the visuals look MUCH worse than ray tracing in next gen version. Just killed all the color and contrast the game used to have.And for all this the game runs worse to boot. Remember when redditors said it would run so much better because it's a "true" DX12 implementation instead of the last one's hacky version? So much for that.

Playing for the first time. Honestly if Yennefer hadn't appeared at the end of the first area I might have dropped it. But damn the women are hot in this game. >>748927006Yes. If you want to improve the combat, then you should avoid the remaster entirely and just stick to either the previous next-gen update or the original classic build. Some mods I've tried and think are pretty good:>Blood and Steel: Combat-specific, adds new dodges and animations, better targeting, next-gen compatible. >Enhanced Edition: Probably the most extreme overhaul. Stamina-based combat with new targeting/parry mechanics, but also overhauls alchemy, crafting, questing/EXP, adds an injury system. All can be toggled off if you want, but personally I found it a bit much. Next-gen compatible. >Ghost Mode: My personal favorite way to play the game. Keeps the combat the same, but makes it stamina-based so you can't just spam fast attacks endlessly. Tweaks crafting and alchemy as well. Unfortunately only compatible with classic mode, so to use this you have to forfeit all the next-gen QoL improvements. And these are only a couple, there are literally dozens out there making every change you can think of. If your problem with vanilla Witcher 3 is that it's old and the combat looks bad, don't bother with the remaster. Stick to the older versions and just download mods. The graphics mods do a better job than the remaster and the combat mods do a *much* better job.

Has anyone tried that switch 2 trick were you get a free digital copy of the full remaster by using any physical cart of the switch 1 port? Basically, there is no way to regulate if a physical copy has been used more than once.
