I think the reason Sonic strikes a cord with autists is there is zero ambiguity.You know exactly what the motivation of every character is. You never have to wonder "hmm what those Eggman want to do?" It's relaxing.Irl everyone is being insincere and gaslighting constantly.

It's a cartoon mascot series that didn't die after we were childs unlike any other besides Mario, and it didn't take any break unlike Crash Bandicoot, and it always took itself kind of seriously since the Modern Sonic shit. It also had an anime which attracts hentai artists, which then attracted gooners. It now also has Marvel-style comics that means most people on this site even dont' even play the fucking games, they just went from Marvel or DC comics to "Sonic" and throw a hissy fit when they see people upskirt Amy like the games did themselves.Oh and there was that whole game where the main plot is just Sonic being in a romantic entanglement with a human princess, with a realistic look and really cinematic and edgy music.This attracts autists, because normally you'd have a cool looking human character for games like these, and more of "GAMER" aesthetic, like Lord of the Rings Shadows of Whatever, which felt like "Lord of the Rings FOR GAMERS" or Star Wars The Force Unleashed which is just "Star Wars FOR GAMERS". But for Sonic, it's like nope! You're gonna take this cartoon child character COMPLETELY FUCKING SERIOUS, and it's going to be awesome.Only autistic people will vibe with that.
