The only game I've given enough of a fuck about from Nintendo to buy recently was Tomodachi Life and that was mostly because it was also available on the Switch 1 which i already have.The closest thing to a system seller is probably OOT but I can just emulate that game on my PC and it's probably going to be the same or better experience as their remake. They badly need something original and groundbreaking like BOTW was.

It has a lot of specific appeal that drives different people to buy it, but definitely not a thing everyone is on board for all at once. You're probably right that OoT is the one that serves that purpose, but we'll see how that does for people. Plus it's not even a new game either, so you know, that's something too. I'm not sure what could serve that purpose honestly. Mario Kart is kind of it but people want a single player system seller.
>>748932723I don't really agree that Mario Kart is a system seller. The Switch had Mario Kart 8 + 40-track DLC. It's basically the definitive Mario Kart experience. World had less tracks than base game MK8 on the Wii U did and its main appeal is "its open world now" but that really only appeals to Forzafags who aren't gonna buy a Switch for Mario Kart. Because at the end of the day it's Mario Kart regardless of what console you're playing it on, you're still gonna have the same party go-kart game experience.

It was awesome, I loved it. Played SMRPG and loved yoshi's island, racing boshi, collecting cookies and everything. Had a blast. Then, I bought a N64 and the first game I got for it was Yoshi's Story. Turns out, same thing; Babby's first type of game , I was so mad. Still mad to this day. Because they continue to do it. I miss how Yoshi was back in the times of Super Mario RPG and the likes.
