It turned into "EVERYTHING MUST BE SUPER HARD".
Which turned into "Dodge schizoblademan for 2 minutes before you can swing once".
Basically boils the entire game down into either minmax tank builds that can block a lot or minmax roll builds that can dodge a lot, and both end up having to focus on minmax per hit damage because you only get one every 2 minutes.

Melina doesn't curse Marika when she dies, Messmer does, that's all you need to know about their feelings.
