This looks pretty good. Is it as good as the Ender Lilly/Magnolia games?
>>
I just beated it and I liked it, gets a bit too easy towards the end if you get all the trinket slots though. I only played the first ender lily game and dropped it but finished this

It’s good but be sure to play on hard if you already have MV experience. Normal will disappoint.

Depends on what you're looking for. As a Metroidvania it's a bit on the simple and easy side, definitely not as much combat variety or challenge as Ender Lilies/Magnolia. So it's kind of a refreshing breather if you've been playing a lot of ballbusters lately. Overall I'd call it "charming," and it's worth a go, but I don't see myself ever replaying it.

I think that's true, though I loved both. Magnolia is technically a step up in a lot of ways gameplay-wise and it puts a lot more emphasis on trying to flesh out the characters who join you, but the story and most of the dialogue just fell flat for me. Lilies was much grittier, more atmospheric, more immersive. Plus it had more variety; Magnolia just feels like you're fighting the same automata over and over.

That explains the high scores.
