The insecurity of FF7R devs show up in their own product. The game is all the time in your face trying to wow you. Never a quiet moment, never letting a scene just flow, there has to always be something around the corner screaming "look, we are totally better than the original r-right?". It poisons literally everything down to the characters where they never shut up and just keep yapping for things nobody cares about. It doesn't make you think, it doesn't give you the suspense, there's only a theme park filled with endless sensory overload. It butchers everything about the original, and nothing makes sense anymore due to having to fan service all the characters in the compilation and some new ones from dead gacha. FF7R is enshittening in a video game form.
I watched this video and it was actually kind of epic and I wondered why I didn't feel the same way when I played the remake. It's because this video is edited. In the actual game, the high octane theme doesn't play the whole time and it's a much longer segment. They should have turned down the length and turned up the volume and it could have been a great scene. Instead, it was totally forgettable.https://youtu.be/50x2jW-UPwQ
It's called slop.

Rather than make the exploration and content itself rewarding to experience, it resorts to bribing you to play it. That alone tells you all you need to know about the game.
