what if some group of people used ai to import this overly used face scanned actor into every game they could, 1000s of games, 10s of 1000s, subtly replacing only one character each time and they released the edited version of the game back into the wild mixed in with all the others? they could even use AI to spread and distribute these edited games, until eventually if someone tried to download a game, there was a 5 or 10 percent chance every time they did it would be another game eith this same actor in it. They could even scale it past videogames eventually and edit them into movies and tv shows as well.

Why do voice actors need to have their likeness present in the media they're acting for? If they wanted to be real actors, that path is also available, voice actors are used for their voice, not their appearance

How much do you think they charge to lend their likeness to a game? It would be funny if a cheap indie steam game that was a shitpost put 95% of the budget into just getting their likeness to make fun of how they’re in so many games. Like it’s more important that it features them than the game itself being good. They’re model in the game maybe would even look way more detailed than any other character or the rest of the game bevause it’s where most of the budget went

You don't need to spend money gathering people to make a character and find a fitting VA for the face when you can take a VA and model your character to look like them. I've seen this starting to become a thing with MW2019. Maybe it's older than this.Remember how all of Valve's games have a model for the character but a different person for the voice acting? Yeah, that's a lost art now.

Not only would it give me more creative freedom with the voice I use for each role rather than just using my regular voice every time, but I could also avoid alot of people bothering me in public since only people who pay attention to VAs would ever recognize me.
