How do you quit gacha? I’ve played Honkai Star Rail since release, but now I just kinda log in and it has become my nightly ritual. It also doesn’t help Mihoyo keeps releasing characters I liked when I was more into the game like Blade and Robin. Now it’s just a game I play to play. It doesn’t mean anything. I get more enjoyment out of seeing familiar faces than playing the game. I think it’s my time to quit, but it’s hard to when you have almost four years of time spent playing. It’s gotten to the point where I’m playing a real game then I am like, “oops forgot my dailies better do that real quick before I get too invested in this other game.”
I'm very good at asking myself if what I'm doing is actually fun or if I'm just being held hostage by fomo.And I really resent it when I'm being held hostage by fomo.
Literally just stop logging in. You'll get the feeling that you're bricked, even if you're not, and lose all motivation to perform any upkeep.

>>748952718People aren't attracted to the gacha aspects, they're brought in by the parts surrounding it. Like personally I would play a singleplayer version of all these gachas with the pay 2 bypass grinds aspects removed, they unironically would make nice AA type action games and whatnot.
