here in the first world anyone with an actual job can buy a new PC every month.
>>
>>748954401
I just bought a new PC. What's your excuse?
>>
Pc too expensive.
I got my gaming rig but I want kids saving bday moneys and working during school vacation to be able to afford the same.
Gamin pc shouldn't be only affordable for ppl working full time.
>>
found a pc in the trash, an old optiplex with an i5 4570 and 8 gigs of ram, i'm gonna upgrade it to an i7 4790 with 16gb ram and a 3060 ti then play old resident evil games and some modded bethesda titles like morrowind/skyrim/fallout 4.
>>
>>748954925
optiplexes and thinkcentres are the GOATs for budget gaming.
i got an optiplex micro that i'm using as a HTPC/living room emulation machine, it's fucking sick

Does it even have a PSU that'll support a 3060Ti? A lot of those optiplexes don't have a PSU with enough of 6/8 pin PCIE cables for it. They're usually like 300w PSUs. Usually you need an old workstation for a PSU suitable for that. Recommendation is usually to use a GPU that'll run on PCIE power alone.
>>
You can still get a reasonable gaming pc for relatively cheap. It's just buying top of the line that is going to hurt your wallet hard.
>>
I just started making passive income this past week. I'll get a new PC eventually. That will be the goal.

yea i'm gonna use an 8 pin to 24 pin adapter and switch the old psu for a 500 watt unit, both will cost around 45 euros
>>
>>748954976
agreed, especially those that use ddr3 so you don't have to spend a fortune on ddr4/5 memory. it's a good budget alternative with the current pricing situation

Will a new PSU fit? Dell are absolute fuckers for non-standard sizes.
>>
>>748955349
i think it will, it\s a full tower case and if doesn't fit, i'll probably improvise with some double sided tape
>>
>>748955456
God speed and good luck anon. I had an old Dell T3500 I modified back in the day. It wasn't an easy job to do.
>>
>>748954401
>get a $1000 pc
>play 80% of the entire library of video games
YEP IT'S GAMING TIME
>>

I live in first world Djibouti (a white country) and I can't afford that.
>>
I just bought a second 5070 ti from Amazon that I can use while the original gets sent in to fix its clicking fan noise. I do this all the time to get parts replaced and get a free refund under Amazon's policy, but I also don't really give a shit if this is the one time they decide I can't refund it (they won't) because I have money
>>
>>748956470
Looks annoying to go through all these steps. Just buy your pc and forget
>>
>>748954925
i just got an optiplex for 50 bucks from ebay, gona throw some more ram and an rx 6400 in it and maybe mod the case. i just wanted an extra comfy lil music/older gen gaming pc for my office, i already have a steam machine and switch 2 but i felt like messing around on a lil side project
>>
>>748956596
I already have the PC though? I'm replacing the most expensive part temporarily, that's all
>>
>>748955962

>>
>>748954401

>>
>>748954514
i'm a neet with a 4090 tho
>>
>couldnt even bother to print a picture of a monitor playing a game
>its just the desktop picture
>>
I got my 5080 for 600 bucks new. Skill issue.
>>
NS2:
>$500 for 10 fps 240p
PS5
>$900 for 20 fps 480p
PC
>1.5K for 60 fps 1080p

Your choice
>>
>>748954401
A top end gaming PC still costs less then entry into other genres such as playing violin or piano. Americans will be fine, dunno bout turd worlders though
>>
>>748958863
More like 1080p* 60fps**
*: DLSS Balanced
**: with Frame Generation 2X enabled

>Everything is getting more expensive
Yes
>and you can't afford anything
No, I can afford everything because I worked hard. I don't need really need to buy anything because I wasn't a wait fag. I built my current rig before AI fucked all the parts supply.

Don't ever wait. If you have the chance and prices are low and people are telling you to wait until some new line of cards or processors are coming out say fuck you. Buy now, build now. This entire thing is great example of "Its better to have and not need it then need it and not have it." You waited, and now you don't have. You didn't even need the best card available, even the midrange would be fine NOW because you can't get anything good at all. Don't wait, don't hesitate. If you need it get it. Remember this later in life because the good times will come again, but so will the bad. This is the cycle of the universe. Literally buy the dip when you have the chance
>>
>>748957006
most modern printers nowadays support mobile printing, you don't really need a pc to print anymore, your smartphone and a wifi/bluetooth connection will do the job
