Where the fuck is it?
I have to confess something. I fucking hate these games. Every single one has disappointed me one way or the other and I ended up selling them all just to never touch them again. If you locked me in a room with Smash fans I would tear a hole through the wall with my bare hands if I had to.But I can't get enough of the hype periods leading up to them. I was there for Japan Time, Pic of the Day, the Grinch Leak. I watched over every mystery nigga thread even though I hated every single one of them. I was scouring fucking GameFAQs just to read more conversations about the game. I got more dopamine watching the Directs and reading fake leaks than playing the fucking game.I don't own a Switch 2, and probably never will, but I'm fully aware the minute this shit gets announced it will follow me everywhere like an albatross. I won't even enjoy it; the Smash Ultimate DLCs were the worst I've seen tendies get. But I can't shake it off, I'm addicted to the feeling. It's just like a drug, man.
>>748956264Majority of Smash fans don't even like the games.
Comes middle switch 2 lifecycle so still like 3 years away
>>748957125>the Smash Ultimate DLCs were the worst I've seen tendies gettrue. this board was certified shit back then. even worse than usual I mean
>>748957315It wasn't just this board, it was everywhere. People genuinely seething they got Sephiroth instead of "Geno" or "Jonesy". Around the time I stopped playing Ultimate, too.
Ultimate is playable on a Switch 2play that
>>748956264Honestly the prospect of a new game is kind of boring unless they drastically change things up. Its more exciting to think of what modders will do with older smash games when full decomp/ports come out and fans put out crazy features that Nintendo will never do like having 100 player matches and actual good online
Sol and Nightmare next for fighting game reps
Smash was never that good, to be honest with you.>What if Mario and Link fought each other in real time?>and maybe Pikachu as well? And there's really not much more to it.
It's impossible for them to actually improve anymore. Everyone is here set up a new standard that they probably can't even meet anymore and which also takes wy too much effort in itself for them to spend it elsewhere.
>>748956264This series grew too big. Having a tight roster means that every fighter has to really earn their place, and being included was still kind of exciting for a fan of that game. The problem is that this wasn't true from the get-go. Who in their right mind wanted to see Jigglypuff in a fighting game? Yeah she's pretty iconic to the series now but in the 90s she's one of the last pokemon most would have chosen to include. Melee gives us two characters that nobody outside Japan had ever heard of and fucking Dr Mario. In Brawl Snake was so bizarrely out of place that it didn't seem real. Now the roster is so bloated with dozens of undeserving characters that it's difficult to care who's actually in it anymore. I suee can't wait to play my video game celebrating Nintendo's flagship titles, where I get to play as Steve battling Joker, Sora, and that spring powered boxer from that game nobody has talked about in nearly a decade.
>>748959553Noone without autism cares about that, nintimmy.
>>748960107What are you talking about? Only hardcore autists know who all those characters are and what games they're from. Normies look at that shit and just shrug. They're not going to get excited for a bunch of random mascots and Japanese swordsmen.
>>748959553The problem with a big roster is the game being harder to balance and learn matchups for as well as inevitable less variety in playstyles. Prestige means shit, Marth and Snake absolutely deserved their spots and 64 already had characters who were one-offs or hadn't even gotten a game that console generation.
>>748960383People don't care about minmin so they shrug, it's not a deterrent. They see steve and mario and they basedface. Your complaint is retarded
>>748956264anything less than going full 3d gameplay is going to be a disappointmentobviously i'm talking about actual human beings and not whatever cult-like brained thing the average nintendofag became in the switch era
>>748960553>He knows the thing's nameThanks for proving you're one of those autists
