>>748960691It's a game set in calradias dark ages, and the dark ages withought vikings and ships and naval combat is boring.It's a really really fun dlc tho, adds alot of interesting ways to make money through trade or pirating, I played a slavic pirate slave raider for instance as a way to make my money early. Also the nord faction is only on the map if u have the dlc, I didn't join them but they are fun enemys especially on the huge 1000vs1000 sea battles.
It'll be fixed in a year's time when AI will allow me to play with an army of hot half naked elves.

The vanilla experience? Fuck no. But theres now some mods that are good enough to justify getting it.I'm still pissed about the new social systems, which range from poorly implemented to downright negative additions to the game. Only clan leaders are able to make decisions so 90% of lords essentially don't matter, you dont need to remember their names and your relationships with them are meaningless if you have good relations with their clan leader. It is an excellent addition for various mods though

I don't like how the stats work now, I don't like the clan system, I don't like how all villages are now tied to bigger holdings so a bunch of people in the kingdom are completely landless etc. etc. The one thing they did improve was army merging compared to the earlier system where a bunch of stacks would follow the marshal around.

I loved Warband, it felt like an adventure even if it was mostly shitty UIsBannerlord feels like... it tries to be a strategy game and fails, and the perk system is awful, lords are whateverI remember in warband forming a party of the lords you have done shitty quests or talk to in random encounters was so fucking great, but in bannerlord it doesnt feel like anythingit feels like bannerlord never understood warband was mostly "show, dont tell" kind of game at times
