They just put out a huge modernizing update, a DLC, and added Steam workshop support.
I don't know if they're going to do a sequel, I know Tom Fulp has been working on a new game for like a decade now, but it's been in development hell for most of that.
Back in like 2014, he and a few of the other devs talked about it on Sleepycast, and their workflow process was an atrocity.
