Oh hey there anon, show us your weapon of choice!inb4>hitbox betterEveryone already owns a keyboard, this not a TypeRacer thread.
>>748964713I've had this one for years. It's great.I loved the hayabusa buttons it came with, but found no replacements. Settled for sanwa buttons.I changed the stick for a seimitsu ls-32, I like how clicky it is.
>>748964713Also, curious on your thoughts on K-levers. They're kind of a meme, but not really. What I mean is you don't need a fancy lever, Sanwa or Hori and probably the cheap noname shit in budget sticks are enough, but playing on a 309MJ for some time, actually made me more accurate in general. I think it's not really more gooder than whatever else you have, it just forces a certain grip and movement style, while making some stuff quite easy and then you move to Sanwa or Hori and suddenly movement feels way more natural.
>>748965141>I loved the hayabusa buttons it came with, but found no replacements. Why did you need replacements? Did they break?I find the hayabusa buttons more durable than sanwa, and either it's me, or they refined them, but they are kind of more tactile and less hair-trigger now. Frankly though, while I think Hori parts are superior, despite the common opinion, sanwa isn't a downgrade at all.
>>748965448yeah, eventually they stopped responding on some inputs and it was frustrating. I change buttons about once a year, last time I bought 32 Sanwa buttons just to have spares. They are pretty cheap.I don't know if the Hayabusa buttons can be fixed, I bet they do (maybe they're just dirty), but I don't care enough to try.I tried Seimitsu buttons too but those were awful.>>748965147I've never tried a Korean lever, but I did get a bat-top for my stick to try it out. I didn't like how the travel distance felt longer.I went back to ball-top, because I'd rather have a wine glass grip that isn't compatible with bat-tops.
it just werks :3
>>748965147K-levers are only a meme if you're a newbie when it comes to arcade sticks. There's no point splurging for a Knee Neo lever, Sanjuks V5/6/7 or either Golden Lever/GL Pro when you're coming from a keyboard and/or controller. The overall platform is much more important since arcade sticks are a moneysink and rabbit hole, you don't want splurging on an expensive stick when it won't fit the levers and buttons you want. This what makes the Makestick Prime, TR Octopus, Qanba Obsidian 1 and the Victrix Pro FS are high above the rest. The only thing that could outshine them are true custom arcade sticks made in even more extremely small batches than those above.
>>748964713i want to switch the lever to a JLX-2, i heard the diagonals are better than the standard JLF
>>748965747I feel like Sanwa switches will probably directly swap and are not necessarily much different
>>748966813>parts are not important, it's the premium-priced box with branding and generic sanwa parts that matters>trust me, totally not a shill>>748968201>JLX-2>diagonals are better than the standard JLFI own a JLF, JLX and JLX-2. The X is really just a refinement. Slightly more precise, but you really need to pay attention when comparing all 3 to notice the difference. During normal gameplay, it feels like the exact same lever. IMHO not worth it as an upgrade. Buy one, when your JLF brakes. Or consider the Hayabusa. It's got a bit more throw on diagonals, so it takes some time to adjust, but it's an upgrade from the JLF. Just don't get memed into putting a stiffer spring and bigger actuator in it. Stock Hayabusa is the best this lever can get. Honestly, if the Quanba in your pic is what you use, no point in changing parts. Unless you just want to make building stick your hobby, in which case go nuts.
>>748968201JLX came with a bigger actuator which increases the percentage of the stick range of motion is diagonals because it was a pretty common aftermarket mod but that was by far the most controversial aspect of it and kind of mistimed for the game it was going to be most used in so when they went back and updated a couple things for the JLX2 they went back to the normal one.The geometry on JLFs and like is kind of funny because you have a round stick pressing on rounded switch plungers so the deadzone is actually a kind of rounded X shape.that favors cardinal directions. Levered switch sticks (JLW, Semitsu in general) don't have that but are slightly asymmetric in feel if not engage.>>748970846I generally agree with this. I even have the springs and actuators I tried on one of my JLFs and gave up on all of them. Shortly after one of the switches started going bad and I just got the JLX2-TPML for what shipping was going to be to fix it thinking I might have to use some of those parts to make up for the silent switches and I ended up just leaving everything as is and the adjustable switches in the default position and I actually really like that. Most of the click is just audible feedback rather than actual feeling and the lightness kind of feels like a Hayabusa but not loud as fuck or with the inclination to overshoot. I ended up putting it in a different stick than I planned because it resonated and made spring noise even when you pressed buttons in that one though. As a whole how things actually work is a much harder to predict combination of throw distance, spring strength, switch strength etc. where a short throw and a light resistance are two different ways to make it easier to hit a direction and the trick is to balance all of that with what else you're trying to achieve.
i own a vewlix that already had a lot of use when i bought it and it came with a jlf that's very low tension because of the wear and tear, but in a good way. it feels nice to use
If you want the whole gay list>MadCatz Fightstick Tournament Edition Xbox 360OG, totally original, never been opened up, has that awful intermittent static issue on RT>Hori Real Arcade Pro V3 SABecame the main workhorse for a decade. Art died to sweat and friction so for a brief period it had custom art but with the shitty thin plexis for that the heat and moisture will warp that and start killing the art as well so it eventually just got vinyl wrapped. Had OBSFS-30s just to not be obnoxiously loud for a while (everything sounds really sharp in this case), then an LS-56 and OBSFE-30s which was a combo I really liked for SFV but that style of joystick is maybe a slight liability when you need to return to neutral before inputs like launch drive rush cancel or all cardinal special moves>Haute42 G16Bought for super cheap when Haute was trying to get early adopters at release just to look into various memes, but between being tiny and minimally recessed full travel full height MX switches it is a generally awful thing.>Hori Fighting Stick AlphaWanted a Noir, missed the boat on the HRAP N, kind of hated it but it's convenient and somehow quiet and thus ended up getting a silent joystick and OBSFS-30s eventually and absorbing my SF6 haet shockingly well and earning my respect. Controls are shifted way left which is dumb as fuck though.>Hori Real Arcade Pro N HayabusaRandomly looked on ebay because I wanted to bitch about prices in a post, found a "broken" one for $30 which just had the assign mode that locks inputs on and the joystick and bottom screws removed. Really lovely stick that's also really awkward to move or carry, loud like the V3, and because it's tall and has a long wrist rest I dig my ulna in on, currently has the Hayabusa stick that came out of the Alpha.>Mayflash F500 FlatIf you want a leverless and it doesn't have to fit in your purse buy this when it's on sale for the price of a gamepad.
I got a used Qanba Titan. The lever is fun but I'm not a big fan of the hair-trigger Sanwa buttons.
>>748974969>hair-trigger Sanwa buttons.Objectively, skill issue, anon. Pretty much every other button is even more hair trigger. Maybe Seimitsu, are a bit harder and Hayabusa, at least the new ones, more tactile, but they are all literally designed to actuate the split-second you start pressing.
>>748966593How's the wireless?
>>748975458American buttons are all way heavier. There's quite a few keyboard switch buttons that are way higher travel, especially if they're full size MX still.
