People make too much noise about the scale (including devs)The land itself isn't the prime feature, it is a backdrop on which the game takes place and provides a sense of realistic enormity. It is a great thing but not because you're supposed to traverse every square inch and marvel at named rocks but because as you're walking around you can feel the entire vast world at your back.
