listen dawg I liked majora's mask recomp as much as anyone else but the whole point of these projects for me is that you get the definitive version of the game ON TOP of new source code that lets creative types mod the shit out of them, and if that's not taking place then I might as well just play on original hardware or an existing emulator. the only exception is when the emulator is so shit that you can't help but accept an alternative, but plenty of games (twilight princess) run just fine on quality emulators like dolphin so it's not really worthwhile unless something comes out of all that effort besides basic features.with N64 games, recomps are better because there's just no good emulator equivalent out there (lmao pj64 or mupen64)
