I'm very skeptical of it, but interested.Runner up would be a direct follow-up to Doom Eternal, building on its same mechanics, but we all know that'll never happen. I'd also kill for a Prey 2017 sequel.

High emotional stakes for Midna and her kingdom, but the Zant/Ganon/Twilight stuff never really materialized throughout the story, and it never felt like Hyrule was about to vanish or be destroyed or anything. The Ganondorf fight at the end is weirdly low stakes where it's only a fight of power between "some guys". It leaves the door open for a genuine threat happening somewhere else in the Twilight Realm or somewhere else, that brings a new World to life, and then has a more world-ending threat at the end that shows this version of Link going from just being a young adult who learned bravery, to being a brave hero who saves the world.

WoW 2 where the world is massive, like 100x size with no easy way to get around. Localized events you can't get to unless you happen to be there, survival(food/water/rest). Extremely few yet hard quests. 50% of mobs are elites requiring a group. Game is centered around class fantasy. 90% of gear is crafted. Dungeons/Raids now drop talent points, spells, recipes, rarely stuff that lets you teleport. Many factions you'll have to grind to interact with. This kind of stuff.
