>just came out
>nobody gives a shit
that's an EGS exclusive for ya I guess
if I had bought it I would be immediately disappointed because I expected dark mood top-down shooter/survival, meanwhile I got top-down metroidvania

>>
watched a review, the reviewer said it's buggy and repetitive, they gave it a 7/10. cool atmosphere though
>>
so many good metroidvanias recently i dont have the time to play mediocre slop

oh, he also said sound design was exceptional, from what i've heard the ambient sounds and "dialogue" are kinda creepy

End of a piss

Pirating it now. I like how it looks.

I believe I caught a trailer of this long ago and took note of it. Thanks for the tip.
I sincerely hope they got a million bucks out of Timmy for locking it on Epic. Every time I visit EGS once a year I see all these games Ive never ever heard about, some even good. It creates this borderline insane feedback loop where a developer makes a game, Timmy swooches in and dumps a milion dollar on the table for their game to only be on EGS. It covers dev costs and the devs are financially secure for probably a couple of years. But fucking nobody will play the game and even less will ever hear about it. Its something disturbingly dystopian about art being made to fill an exhibition nobody visits.

Played it. Not giving you the resource for the charge shot for ages was bullshit as every robot enemy is a slog.

On one hand they signed their own grave by going with Epic Games Publishing basically ensuring their PC sales will be abysmal.
On the other hand Epic paid for the whole thing so hopefully for them it didn't cost to much and the PS/Xbox sales get them in the green.

I feel like atmosphere alone will hard carry it for me to get to finish it.
The limited dark color pallette reminds me a bit of INSIDE. Soundscape is legit good.

apparently the developers of this game are former members from the studio that worked on little nightmares 1 & 2, hence the dark aesthetic
>>
Two hours in, it's alright. Not scary in the slightest, kind of easy. I enjoy the atmosphere, but I'm already feeling my enthusiasm wane as I run around, enemies respawning in the same spots is pretty lame too.
>>
i watched a stream for a bit, i was really hoping it would feel a bit more heavy and grounded.
the atmosphere does a lot for this game but I think that can only carry something so far, shame.
