Wasn't in Jewafune's fault? He quit Capcom while they were working on, made his own company, then went to Capcom and told them to hire him to finish it so they just cancelled it instead

Yes but it's a bit more complicated.
Legends 3 wasn't actually greenlit Inafune was just pushing his girth around to make people work on it using the public opinion to kind of "force" it. All the while he made his own company at the same time. Capcom wasn't going to play his game so they said no, he chose to fuck off and the half assed work done for a "demo" was scrapped. Inafune wanted to use the fallout from that to kick off his own Legends but the whole plan went to shit.
