a lot of games were trial and error back then, made them last longer and allowed you to master mechanics. i prefer to to Wolverine where stuff is easy and bloated

I loved Silent Assassin when I was a kid and I don't even glaze that one, let alone C47, which is far more flawed.
The first truly good Hitman game was Contracts. C47 and SA were important blueprints to get there.
It's a shame the Hitman series died with Absolution and then with Always Online FOMO bullshit after.
