>>748980505i played it on ps catalog for 'free'. first act is quite good. focused story and engaging. the combat is fun as you learn and gain more skills. 2nd and 3rd acts just drag on and its open/empty world game with lots of nothing going on. its pretty looking and nice to explore for a bit, but most of the shit in the game ends up being pointless busy work. like theres these shrines that have assassin creed parkour shit to them, but nothing else in the game uses these mechanics. its very strange 'ubitower' type of addition. theres these foxes you have toc hase around for power ups that are similar. ya, japanese fox spirit shit, but some are just walk like 20 ft over a rock and done. like someone just went around cut and paste some shit to do. if you play on easy, the game is a joke. if you play on highest difficulty, its just stealth kill everything or you are in for world of pain and constant restarts. theres a happy medium in there based on your skill lvl where you can play to your preference, but I ended up just entering camps and killing everyone on medium difficulty by end of it. challenging them at entrance ends up annoying because camera can fuck up and you just instant die on higher difficulties failing the sword draw. story wise, the last half of game just fucking sucks. gets so dumb and wasted potential. theres lots of girl boss shit too. old woman is clan head and super into revenge when would get bitch slapped by japanese men instantly. lots of random women run towns and are blacksmiths, etc. its too blatant and hard to unsee once you start playing long enough. so even with mail protag, its kinda similar to the 2nd game everyone hated on because woman became protag. its similar to some of the newer assassin creed with big world and nothing in it for large swaths of land. lot of running around go fetch and later instant travel. clearing compounds like older far cry games is fun at first, but going for plat was so mind numbingly boring.

Pretty decent 7/10 ish game. It definitely ends up being quite a drag if you want to do all of the content though.
