The weird thing is that its not even hard to make attractive female characters. We had adorable characters for my entire childhood back when games were still using pixel portraits and low polygon counts. They didnt have to be drop dead gorgeous or sexually titilating either.Its just modern games that make these abominable women while at the same time having incredible tools for beautification and detail.

'support' is a weird word. I want to play those gameswhy?well, I get something out of looking at the game even if I don't entirely like it. Games can be acceptable by virtue of their presentation, music, etc without having "good" level design, progression, gameplay, etc. Character design is harder to carry a game with (literally can't think of one at the moment), but people have said they like games solely for the music, even if it isn't a "music game," even if the level design, gameplay, etc, is subpar
