The really fun part about these Steam sales is it makes me realize how many games I just never reall wanted to play. Like when it launched, I said to myself "The FF7 remake looks a bit expensive at $60. When it goes to under $40, then I'll try it". It's now available for $9. I still have no interest in it. Instead I picked up a KCD2 DLC for $10 and Songs of Glimmerwick (Harry Potter ripoff game) for $20. I'm currently in the same boat with Blood of Dawnwalker, I'm telling myself "$70 is too expensive, when it drops to $50 I'll buy it" but I bet if it dropped to $20 tomorrow I still wouldn't pick it up.

Alien rulers and Shen's gift do add unique missions, gear, and a class to the main campaign though. Tactical legacy is bonus mini-campaigns which are neat, and the other 2 are just cosmetic crap. I wouldn't recommend it for a first playthrough of course but if you're going to want to get into modding you'll need to get them at some point as most only work with WotC these days.

It says there are 6 faction scenarios, but there are scenarios for all factions. A number of factions have bad endings too. Im genuinely not a fan of jrpgs, but I did enjoy dragon quest 11 as pretty comfy. That said, is monster hunter rise worth it? It seems pretty beloved but I was watching longplays and it seems like japslop pachinko bright lights. Never played a MH game before. Is it similar to any other games someone who doesnt play a lot of jrpgs would know?
