If you sell a good on the banned exports list you are required to also inform the purchaser of the ban on exporting it. If you don't, you can be held personally liable for the export and face criminal charges. Stores are just covering their asses.

I don't know why you'd buy a 5090. There's just no market for it imo.For gaming a 5080 is more than good enough to comfortably play just about everything with high frames and is a quarter of the price.If you're doing professional work/ai shit then a blackwell 5000 card is only another 15-20% more expensive for a far stronger card better suited for that kind of work and it's a since you're already spending that kind of money in the first place kind of thing.Like what's the customer for a 5090?
