Is OLED a meme for gaming? I just ordered a 48'' one but Im starting to have my doubts maybe I should cancel it and get a mini-led
If you ONLY use it for gaming, keep it at a low brightness, and stick to SDR/Generally dark HDR content, it should last you a long time.MiniLED will last longer, won't have burn-in, and will be better at brighter HDR content and brightness levels but comes with its own set of problems.
Why did you order one if your mind wasn't made up

Doesn't matter what you do OP you're still gonna get fucking PWNED by me in video games.Noob lil bitch lmao.
>>749001180I only play single player games thougheverbeit
>48 inchso a TV that's capped to 120hz at bestoleds are pointless if you don't get something with 240 at least and that's only on monitors
>>749001237What framerate has to do with brightfull colors
>>749000875My main problem with oleds is that Id constantly have to think about how to use it.> Oh, need to tab around a bit so it's not constantly on a static screen> Maybe I should get an animated wallpaper> Need to hide task bar> Can't clean the screen with normal wet wipes, instead go and buy some specific ethanol stuff> 1000 different functions and settings for fighting burn-in> Need to go to sleep mode in 5 minutes otherwise burn-in riskAnd I'm sure I forgot some other problems with it. Including the higher price, lower brightness, dead pixel problem, flickering and the fact that even with all this, it's still not a question of IF but WHEN your organic LEDs get fucked, it's just not interesting to me. Mini-led has its own problems but so far I can at least just buy them cheap, not think about anything outside of which mode for local dimming and HDR to use. Also, they are cheaper
>>749002318Most of what you mentioned is fixed with sleep mode for me since I use it for ps5 so ideally the only moment with static screen is when im away from the screen is burn in a that serious of a deal that you worry so much about it?
>>749002318Damn, this was back when anime looked closer to western animation. Don’t know how to feel about this style.
>>749002540I still think it's a meh deal for me personally. Unless you want to just keep buying a new OLED every 3 years or so. On ps5 it's a bit different tho, ps5 doesn't have all the static screens that PCs have. Task bar, working with stuff like Excel, latex, coding, reading etc. Also, reading text in general is kind of ass on an OLED. This problem has only been solved recently with the newest generation of oleds, so you can pay a hefty sum for it.
>>749002318Just hide taskbar, use animated wallpaper (don't even know if that one is necessary honestly) and maybe do full screen when web browsing. Also use the built in anti-burn in stuff and don't blast HDR and brightness during regular use. It sounds like a lot but not really and OLED monitors are dropping in price all the time, you can get a 1440p one for $300 now
>have terrible ips glow for 3 years before inevitably buying another monitor because you're scared of burnin
>>749000875Oled for tv gaming, led/mini led for pc gaming. Fight me
