Up until Volt Forge ends and you are let out into the desert, it's a 10/10It's a shame how quickly and dramatically it falls apart right after that, but I'll never forget those first few hours so full of promise
>>749007243Volt Forge is really stiff to navigate because all the cool shortcuts require abilities you won't have on the first trip so you spend way too long on the elevators. The bike sections also suck. It's definitely better than the fire or ice areas but that's not a high bar.
>>749007243You're ignoring the obvious elephant in the room by not mentioning Makenzie
>>749007243I keep hearing about how it "falls off after so-and-so" but my experience was just a straight plateau of no highs and no lows. It felt incredibly formulaic and a basic retread of Prime 1.
More like:>Tutorial section is good because you expect it to be linear>Fury Green can still pull wool over your eyes about how linear it is because you aren't sure if it will branch out at any moment>Then Miles takes your focus for a moment so you care more about how annoying he is and then you're suddenly at the boss>Volt Forge doesn't seem as linear as it is because of the gimmick of traversing it back in reverse, but the bike tutorial makes you roll your eyes for how dumb it is>Then you get to the desert and you likely have heard how shit it is. You drive for a bit and then are told to tackle the teleporter keys in any order (lmao)>Ice Belt starts showing the cracks with how it's just a straight line (again), but it has its moments>Flare Pool is completely irredeemable garbage because of the NPCs holding your hand almost the entirety of it, bosses are at least okay>The Great Mines will make any person with taste groan and tell how it's complete shit, it's the moment when even the biggest copium filled people will admit how bad it is>Then the endgame fetch quest is the biggest dogshit ever in the Prime series and to top it all off, there is no final dungeon despite Chrono Tower seeming like one. You just go in, watch cutscenes and walk a few rooms with the NPCs before Sylux fightI coped until Flare Pool, but it being followed by The Great Mines made me just hate the game
