While the game itself is fine, I mean the card game, in game its so fucking stupid and a chore like the rest of the game. Theres no stakes. You LOSE NOTHING by losing. NOTHING. You can retry as many time as you want to get the card from a guy. Who came up with this and why?

People liked gwent so much they made a standalone game based on it.
I think it's cool, it brought be back to the times when every FF game had its collectible card game or something similar as a side activity. It becomes sort of a big game wide sidequest for people who like that stuff. You don't have to engage with it much.

It was made even better by my ability to bullshit my way through spanish with just enough knowledge in south american history to be convincing.
I'd just do it mid sentence like it was nothing and every time he'd stop and look at me like his brain had to restart after a bluescreen.
