Palworld isn't a live service gacha, so it wins by default.
Pocketpair could go defunct tomorrow. You'll still be able to enjoy all of Palworld's features. Meanwhile Aniimo will die within the next 3-5 years and take your access to the game with it forever.

Financially? As it stands Aniimo might eventually win if its current playerbase keeps funnelling money into it over the course of the next few years. Depends on how hard the phonefags are whaling, we might find out soon.
Culturally? Aniimo will struggle to leave a mark outside China itself, especially with all the other "poke"clones releasing in the next few months. Nobody's forgetting Palworld anytime soon, especially with the lawsuit shitstorm from Nintendo.
Sexually? Starter fox, anthro bat and the squirrels aside nothing in Aniimo has caught my fancy. The artstyle really doesn't help here. Palworld has a shitton of relatively simple yet effective waifupal designs.

This is what I'd hate. I'll lose my Glameep forever before I can even catch it.

By numbers Palworld has more waifupals, but you can't beat Lunara.

Probably palworld, animo lasted like 2 days?

aniimo just feels unfinished
the story is boring, half the monsters are just recolors, there's apparently just two settlements and the focus seems to be on decoration
i don't know, it just didn't appeal to me
dropped it on the very first day

Crazy how Pokémon isn’t even competing anymore
>>

Palworld to me feels ripe to get PUBG'd.
The game is badly made and put together, but it gets away with that because its a one-of-a-kind game that people desperately want to play.
I use the PUBG comparison because it was in the exact same position as Palworld is, it was insanely popular inspite of it being badly put together because it was the only game in its genre. Having its entire audience eventually stolen by Fortnite, because Fortnite was just the same type of game but competently made by a team that knows how to make Video Games, not made by a hack who was stapling store bought assets and blueprints together.
>>749022294
>Palworld's still going to be here in ten years
It won't, but Palworld has already gotten their bag so I doubt the studio will be crying that hard about it when its eventually replaced, if anything I'm surprised we haven't seen more studios other than other chinkshit devs gunning for it.
>>
>>749029579
>It won't
I'm not talking about relevance, I just mean that the game is still going to be playable a decade from now. You can download Palworld and play it completely offline, meanwhile the Aniimo servers likely won't be accessible ten years from now.
>>
>>749029364
Pokemon doesn't compete as a Video Game, it just needs to sell Merch and Nintendo consoles, which it easily does both of those things, the former being more important than the latter as Nintendo has plenty of other franchises that also sell its systems.

Pokemon could literally stop making Video Games today and it would still be around in some form 20 years from now, its far beyond critical mass in how culturally entrenched it is, the idea of Pokemon being overthrown on a cultural level in the short term is laughable even in this scenario.

I mean you CAN, but who will? Let's be real here. What's the difference between an irrelevant offline game, and an end-of-service online game? Semantics.

>if anything I'm surprised we haven't seen more studios other than other chinkshit devs gunning for it.
No one in the west will ever make a "pokemon clone" (as in a game relying on cool & cute monster design for its appeal) of any genre above A-grade budget because of the social stigma against mixing the cute (meant to be only for adults) and the cool (meant for older teenagers and up). No western richfag will ever risk a social suicide from leading such a project. Small studios like the guys behind TemTem and Casette Beasts could try, but limited budgets (marketing especially) will prevent them from matching Palworld, let alone overtaking it.
Most Chink devs went all-in on phone games, which are limiting in what you can do. Most Jap devs are Nintendo cocksuckers and/or creatively bankrupt. That leaves a handful of relatively independent large-ish companies from these two countries and Korea (think Capcom) who could do it. But they'd actually have to commit to it, knowing it will have to compete with Pokemon, Palworld, Dokev and a dozen Chinese phone games. Even if you were confident your game will be mechanically better than all of those, that still doesn't guarantee getting your money back, and we all know how risk-averse east asian corpos are.

game isnt even out, tardo

Why can't Nintendo just hire these guys?
>>
Both games have so much fucking “number design” it’s baffling
>Aniimo has a decent battle system
>but the game turns off your ability to do damage if you’re lower level or underranked so you just have to grind numbers to be allowed to play (if you do it’s baby mode)
>>
>>749031329
>"Hey, do you want to work for us? We'll fire most of your staff, put Gamefreak's geriatrics in charge, push for an ugly art style nobody likes, and give you shitty monster designs from our very own nepo retard artist. >"Um, no thanks."
Is how that'd go, probably.

>>
>>749031183
The only thing a game needs to do to completely steal Palworlds entire audience is three things.
>Be on Consoles
>Be more polished
And arguably most importantly:
>Be Free to Play
Having all three of the above be true is the reason Fortnite mogged PUBG and is all that is necessary for Palworld to get mogged too.
Unfortunately Amiino fails the second point and thus will not be the one.
>>
>>749036898
Aniimo is Chinese, since 95% of Palworlds player audience is also Chinese it will steal 95% of palworlds audience by default.
>>
>>749037116
>source: my ass
Aniimo has "only" 100k concurrent players on Steam. Even if you assume that some of the 960k peak Steam players switched to Aniimo's phone version instead of its Steam version, expecting it to be more than 2 or maybe 3 times of that 100k is delusional. So at best it grabbed a third of Palworld's playerbase.
Keyword: grabbed, not stole. Palworld is not a FOMO live service game, a portion of its 1.0 players will return to it for a week or two during its future updates.
