>It's too late now to become a game dev in a company or even on your own because of AINow what? If I can't get a job working in something I like, I just don't want to work at all... What's the point wasting most of your day, wasting your life doing something you hate?
indie solodev in your free time whilst wageslaving is the only path forward, I'm afraid
>>749019441K shaped economy, time to mop piss and shit at mcdonalds bro. No more comfy game dev hope. It's ogre for you.
>>749019441The benefits of increased productivity will trickle down and you'll have more free time to do whatever you want. Any time now.
>>749019441In this "fruitless" pursuit of gamedev, I've now become better at coding, art and music. I see the world differently, interface with tech differently, hear the world differently, goon differently... To me, this journey has been worth it, even if I spend the rest of my days on Perma nodev. I'm spending my spare time drawing, composing, coding, and I'm basically a Renaissance Man now. Even if I don't pump something out, I rest easy knowing there are so many other schizo autists like me that one of us will eventually pump out the exact game we want; in our spare time, from our parent's garage.Oh wait you meant as a permanent 9-to-5 career w/ benefits. LMAO, get wrecked. Wait till California finally freezes over and kills all the trans like they've been doonposting about.
Game dev was never it if you really wanted that lifestyle. This seems like a good thread. What are we all doing for passive income right now?
>>749022772I'm about to buy an apartment off the savings I accrued from living in my parents house so I'm in the brink of passive income off an appreciating asset.
