Every time I launch Crusader Kings 3 I'm always taken aback by Asia being there. It's such a random thing to have in a game about the Crusades.

Feature creep is a hell of a drug
Started with Rajas of India in CK2

so play ck1 retard

Atleast India can be somewhat justified by it being the other region bearing the brunt of the Calpihates and its follow ups expansion. China hasnt had any significant contact with the non-chinese world beyond trading until the Americans nuked them in the second world war
>>

Ck3 isn't about crusades.
>>

Which is simulated in the game by China not being in diplomatic range for anyone in Europe, so I'm not sure what your problem is.
>>

he's saying europe was a very dynamic place, with crusades, viking raiding, merchant trading etc. India was justified as the caliphates was a major player in european affairs but they also fucked with india. east asia was just china being china for like 1000 years.

what the hell is silla

I haven't played CK3 since the 1st DLC dropped, is it better than CK2 yet?
>>
>>749020493
The problem is china being simulated. Resources available to the game are limited, and instead of making smarter characters they are simulating 2x as many and you can't even interact with them.

There actually was a substantial population of Oriental Orthodox Christians living in China back in the day before the chinks killed (and probably ate) them all.

Based Filioque appreciator.

India didn’t do anything against the Caliphate, which had pretty much vassalized the entire region as the dominant hegemon and “world police” at the time.
Jeets need to stop pretending they were even a significant factor in history.

CK3 was fucked from the start by representing the Catholic church with the equivalent depth as base CK2 and its expansion, Holy Fury.
Instead they tried to generalize all religions with different traits and then represent different schools with a pick of those traits. Which led to fucked up situations like there being different Sunni schools but their head of faith was not the Sunni caliph. Which they did fix later.

It was completely wild that they decided on representing China, Japan and Austronesia before fleshing out the faith of those kings who went on crusade.

*by not representing the Catholic church

Ck3 was fucked by the fact that gameplay is clicking pop ups.

>Mandala governments are still busted strong
It's nice seeing AI do well but always seeing Srivijaya conquer all of South East Asia and then conquer China after is fucking stupid.

Also, not sure if it's just me not knowing the best strategy yet. But reforming Pagan faiths feels like a real pain in the ass now. It feels like I need WAAAAY more piety to do so. That's not even counting trying to change tenets when reforming that also adds like another 10000-piety cost.
>>
>>749020170
Crusader Kings hasn't been about the crusades since The Old Gods came out in 2013. Though even before then it was just a worse version of Pendragon with a shitty "strategy" game tacked on.

>Silla (Korean: 신라; Hanja: 新羅; Old Korean: 徐羅伐, Yale: Syerapel[8]) was a Korean kingdom that existed between 57 BCE[9] and 935 CE and was located on the southern and central parts of the Korean Peninsula. Silla, along with Paekche and Goguryeo, formed the Three Kingdoms of Korea. Silla had the lowest population of the three, approximately 850,000 people (170,000 households), significantly smaller than those of Paekche (3,800,000 people) and Goguryeo (3,500,000 people) and was considered less developed and weaker compared to both Goguryeo and Paekche.[10][11][12][13]
