On the videogame board it's expected people are to talk about videogames. You're not clever for suggesting you're above it

I love these things but I would never ever play WoW. My hope is that the Warcraft IP gets whored out to a game dev studio that makes CRPGs and we can get a single player Warcraft RPG with a little fox lady companion. That would be sweet.

I played a vulpera in bfa because their racials are perfect for farming, but people kept /spitting on me. It actually made me sympathetic towards furfags.

Vulperas don't do it for me, they're too "it's just my artstyle"

Being downtrodden and hated is a crucial part of the authentic experience.

Vulperas are an honestly aesthetically appealing short race. They don't look like grotesque midgets and they have a certain grace to them. I wish I could have actually good games where I can create aesthetically appealing short races like this, instead of dwarves or gn*mes most of the time. I sure as fuck aren't gonna play W*W just for that.

It probably has something to do with the fact that they're based on fennec foxes, whereas stuff like Gnomes/Halflings/Dwarves are just really short looking humans. We know that something that looks like a human being really really short is just wrong, and is usually some sort of indicator that that person either has some sort of genetic defect or was basically starving their entire childhood. But a fennec fox person being short just makes sense, because fennec foxes are tiny. Its the same reason stuff like rat/mouse people and kobolds feel right as well. A rodent person or lizard person being short feels right, because rodents and lizards do tend to be pretty small.

Honestly, I've seen some pretty ugly short beast races as well. I feel like the problem of gnomes and halflings if you can't just downscale a normal human body or it'll look weird, like a downscaled human body, and so they have to come up with weird-ass proportions for these things as well as faces. A halfling doesn't look like a small human, it looks like an aged child most of the time. Vulpera bodies aren't that different from normal anthros, you could probably upscale them and it would look fine. I guess the digitigrade legs also help, they give a creature a more slender appearance with longer legs without making it taller.

Personally for me, I dislike halflings and gnomes and dwarves because I just enjoy monstrous features more than I enjoy "humans but with [thing]",, even if those features are as mild as "being a furry".

Either way, I want more games with graceful short races.

Does anyone have that one picture where all the WoW races have their proportions swapped around, so it like "Humans with Orc proportions" or "Goblins with Blood Elf proportions"? I always found that picture amusing, and it did have an example of Vulpera being tall instead of small.

I completely agree. If I'm playing a fantasy game I would prefer if humans were the only humanoid race, and all the other races are just weird shit, so I've always found it pretty fucking disappointing that almost every single fantasy RPG just does the bog standard "Human/Elf/Dwarf/Halfling/Elf (but with gray skin)/Elf (but with blue skin)/Elf (but with green skin)" shit.

Humans don't play games. That's a myth

Normalfags unironically can't into monstrous races, they go AIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE SAVE ME NIGGERMAN at anything that isn't a fair-skinned 6'+ 8/10+ fella. Sometimes very rarely when they feel freaky they will paint him red and give him horns. That's not to mention that games with character creation aren't even THAT common. So it's like we're a niche within a niche.
