Arrange is easier than that and quite different, good mode. Muchi Muchi Pork is pretty good no matter the mode but Arrange definitely feels the best if you just want to be powerful and score big.

MAME does it decently now, and it's hard enough to the point it doesn't feel free while having scoring that you can just try out. CRS68K is one that's older in style but definitely worth playing. For horizontal you can't skip Progear.

I got a few shmups that I played for an hour and then left to get dusty, gotta get back to em. Steam games like…Revolgear ZeroMirage FeathersBullet GardenEarthionI’d like to get better at shmups, but I’m unsure of where to start other than picking easy mode. I also know to try and move as little as possible, to practice surviving without shooting first unless it’s a boss, and to look at where bullets are coming from instead of my ship. Also two I’d like to recommend are Gunlocked 1 & 2. On the easy side for sure but I like how unique the weapons are. They start off feeling like joke weapons with their range and spread so you’re encouraged to go all over the screen and chase enemies.

>>749057385Currently I can do most EoSD Hard patterns without issue. Stage 5 has the one trick to cut it in half, and 6 is just streaming for most of it. Sakuya is pretty hard but most of her attacks have a catch. Remilia has a few nasty patterns but she's the final boss. If I wanted to, I could definitely do Lunatic.

I really don't know what they were thinking, but going off of how complete the initial demo was, the whole release was likely rushed. MMP/PS still has flaws but I'll take it. In comparison to those two, New Classic got things right. It's a widely available version of a game that stopped working without patches, catering to old and new fans and Steam game collectors who have heard the name before. I could only ask for the option to customize the soundtrack since some remixes are better and others aren't, and a mid-boss/boss select would've been nice to have too, in general Touhou practice modes are barebones and that's why everyone uses the third-party tool.

The player will be incentivized to not use it so they can be under coins when they drop.
