Sorry anon it's been three years, I don't remember much of it. Even if I did I wouldn't want to spoil the experience.

I really need to go back to that game. I took a break during the second character's run because the puzzles got way too tough and never came back. Plus all the equipment chests remaining empty was a real punch in the face. Completely understandable, but still a nasty newbie trap.

Also noticed it, so I played again unvoided and got the cube at least. Maybe Lillie's route requires you are unvoided for powerups?
I already spoiled myself on a lot of things, so I can say this: the game requires a lot of looping, then la mulana for the *lastest* ending.

Never been there, so I dunno. But there's other altchans out there
>inb4 where?
Gotta look for them yourself.

Void Stranger was such a magical game.
I wish I could give myself amnesia just to play it again.

U might be retarded.

I considered starting over and finishing the first phase itemless, but the game makes it feel like you're not supposed to reset your save. Plus actually pulling it off would probably annoyingly tough.
>>
I give Twitter screenshots a pass when it’s actual game devs instead of nobodies or YouTubers.
>>

You are just supposed to enter the item codes at the title screen when playing as the second character.
The puzzles are doable without them but they were designed with having the items in mind, since they find ways to make you unable to use them so puzzles remain tricky.
>>
>>749048680
Does the game give you hints to do that, or are you supposed to just try it? It's been a while, so I don't remember exactly how the game goes.
>>
>>749049112
Not really, it's just a basic game mechanic
You open the main menu and before a run you can just select brands, you even see what you have unlocked.

>codes
>plural
Wait, you can input multiple of those? I never thought of that.
>>
>>749049386
Is there even a main menu? Stupid question, I know, but the game is kind of weird about its menus. To me, there's a difference between a main menu and an in-game menu. When you launch the game, you get immediately kicked back into your saved game, and if I remember correctly, restarting the loop using the technique the game teaches you immediately starts a new run. The only time I remember being prompted to enter a brand was on a fresh save.
I guess there could be a brand entry in the in-game menu, but is that available at all times or are there limitations?

If you void and choose to give up that resets your save, or going downstairs under a 3 eyes statue.
>>
>>749050946
I did mean the statue trick. The game does teach you how to do it as a canon way to restart a run, and even uses it for a puzzle early on in the second phase. But I was really asking about the menus.
>>
>>749051425
Well, from what I know the brand input is only on a "fresh" run, meaning you have to reset it somehow.
>The game does teach you how to do it as a canon way to restart a run
Well I totally missed it then, and I played the Gray route 2 or 3 times. I know about the second route thing though, around floor 20-something.
>>
>>749051596
The game shows you when you finish Gray's route while VOIDed. It's how you're sent back to the start after the song. Granted, it doesn't explain the trick, but by that point you know enough to figure it out.

Is it just me, or have more and more threads been invaded by bots? 20 fucking AI threads at the same time, posting the same irrelevant shit. Any new vidya gets bashed to the ground, prime example in the new Castlevania threads. Few generals, like Deltatroon and FFXIV get to stay 24/7, but I understand moderating those is a hellhole, as the posters themselves are even more autistic than jannies. Never in my 18 years of browsing 4chan has /v/ been as shit as the last couple months have been, and that's saying something.

Void Stranger is a kino ass game. Spent something like 50 hours to almost 100% it, I just can't be bothered to play the ex-stages.

10-12 years ago absolutely, it was wonderful, and /v/ easily had the pph to be your main spot for at least the first 3 years. I miss it every day.

Nice pits

Not even remotely. Imagine /v/, but with more complaints about gays, blacks, and even more irrelevant tranime posting.
