Don't play the Pixel Demasters then. Play the PSP versions of I, II and IV and the GBA versions of V and VI with the color and music patch and you're golden.

I played the Pixel Freemaster romhack of FFV earlier this year and it was awesome. Overworld sprites change to match the current class and you can swap the leader to any character. All the best stuff is still romhacks and pr got ignored
