I'm forcing myself through cold steel 4, up to chapter 3 right now with the cringevengers uniting.

Rean has to be a parody character, right? Literally every other line of dialogue in the game is someone telling Rean how awesome he is in some way.

It's fucking ridiculous, now the game has also gone batshit with the romance options, no matter what you chose, all girls confess their love for you, including your sister and a cat.
You can see the devs just barely managed to restrain themselves to not have Rean romance girls from other games, the one that have bfs at least.
