>>749051376Play Peacewalker
>>749051006>>749051376uncs on /v/ will look at you straight in the face and say they love these kinds of graphics and want them back

>>749052245I do and I do. They were soulful and made the best of what they had. It's the difference between a painting and a photograph, the painting takes skill and the resulting image must communicate its meaning through implication and clever application of detail with knowledge of how the eye processes vision and intuits form. The photograph is a perfect reproduction, the artistry in it is of a completely different variety. Modern video games use photographs like paintings, to keep with the analogy, and so they are ugly even if they have high fidelity.
>>749051006Yo listen up, here's a story
>>749052946>They were soulful and made the best of what they had.you could have just stopped typing there and had a good post but you chose the wide lens and filled your good photo with needless distractions.
>>749053206Not my fault your retard mutt ass can't read more than one sentence at a time.
>>749053238are you drunk? i know you're not this stupid.
>>749052946Not even getting into AI slop. This is why PC gaming is inferior to consoles when it comes to what developers can do. Since restrictions require developers to get creative in getting the most out of everything. I will always be more impressed with a developer that can push a console to its limit than seeing photo realistic graphics with whatever the latest graphic cards is that will be obsolete in a few months. And equally unaffordable because the crypto scam and AI slop bought them all up.
>>749053540Anon, it doesn't really matter if pc or console nowadays. Everyone is getting lazily made games despite the bigger and bigger budgets
>>749051006Didn't his son go on to mog him as a protagonist in the last few seasons?
>>749053540>This is why PC gaming is inferior to consoles when it comes to what developers can do. Since restrictions require developers to get creative in getting the most out of everything. This hasn't been true since the 7th console generation. Now you just get the same unreal engine realism running on x86-64 hardware like everyone else except at lower framerates and lower resolutions.
>>749051006Kek'd
>>749051856Wish this came back
>>749053848>>749054729Just shows the problem, and how restrictions are a good thing.
>>749051006REBOOTING
>>749052245Stfu faggot
>>749051006>we will never get a proper Reboot reboot or continuationit hurts
>Annn~d with this golden disk, i have the power to change the future of the videogames industry forever. HAHAHAHAHA
>>749051006
>>749055102It's probably for the best.
>>749055102It's for the better Anon. Their original attempt at 'finishing the series' was already awful with The Guardian Code to the degree that most people don't know it exists. Decades of being a straight-to-dvd barbie movie studio have chased away all the talent they had.Megabyte without Tony Jay would be inexcusable too.
>>749055324How did Megatron get his hands on the master copy of star craft?
>>749055826He grabbed it from the future where LLMs have decomped StarCraft 64 and subsequently burnt the source code to a disk.
>>749055609>Megabyte without Tony Jay would be inexcusable too.I wouldn't consider that a deal breaker since the guy they used for Aku in Samurai Jack after the original voice actor died did a good job.The problem is the writers can never wrap up everything nicely. (I.E. leaving the Damon plot line hanging in season 3 and then Megabyte's Hunt in season 4.)Or the producer is fucking insane and runs the series into the ground, i.e. The Guardian Code. They need some major tard wrangling where the writers are sat down and told "These are the last 6-12 episodes you get, use them to wrap everything up to a satisfactory conclusion"
>>749055609>The Guardian CodeI didn't know it existed for many years and when I finally did, I wish I didn't
>>749052245The animation is certianly a lot more expressive. You can tell they were held back by the technology and not by a lack of talent or passion.
>>749055826>faggot dinobot sent it back to blizzardCode of R E D D I T
>>749057364As much as reddit chan loves to call stuff 'a hate letter to the fans' It's not hyperbolic to call "The Guardian Code" that, especially with how they actually showed the User and how it was an expy for old Reboot fans.
>>749051376Bob's running animation is fucking incredible.
>>749052443>The greatest achievement in Canadian history
>>749058354Gotta take what you can get when you're next to a superpower and don't have a buffer like speaking different languages.
>>749052946>made the best of what they hadWhich is impressive, because they had nothing. It was the FIRST CGI TV show, and made before 1995.Just imagine trying to make these graphics, when the programs and technology to make CGI didn't even exist, and the only PC you have runs on Windows 3.1. They were true pioneers and builders of their time. They literally built the technology for what we now think of as CGI or Pixar movies. Remember, this is before Toy Story! If you ever have an interest in the history of computers, computing or CGI, it's a fascinating subject.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwsfEh374u4
>>749055609Christ, I forgot Max Steele even existed, and apparently the IP turned INSANE.
Did they ever finish that remaster from the tapes? I saw the first episode and the quality looked great.
>>749058656We were capable of great things before the mass immigration
>>749058656>>749058354See>>749058697They basically trailblazed everything and their first work was the Money for Nothing Music video, that was so revolutionary, it beat Micheal Jackso's Thriller at the MTV music awards for best video clip.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTP2RUD_cL0
>>749058697Some nerds recently got their hands on the machines they used to save the master videos on specialized tapes and have been working on transferring all of Mainframe's shows from the tapes onto more reliable storage mediums. It's pretty neat, especially considering the company that made the machines no longer exists so getting parts or maintenance for these is practically impossible.
>>749052245I have a soft spot for the jank 80s-early 90s CGI, especially the kind trying to realize even janker arcade graphics.
>>749059337>jank
>>749051006The last two games you played merge together. Post result.
