Remember when this was the coolest thing anon could imagine 15 years ago? But now that it has become reality, everyone pretends it's the worst thing that has ever happened to humanity

Voice commands are pointless on a computer
mouse/keyboard input will always be faster

Because it's not just having a NetNavi, it comes at the cost of critical thinking, massive intellectual property theft, forced deployment where it shouldn't be, massively raised prices on computer hardware, and junior level jobs. And produces zero profit. It made everyone stupider for very little benefit but to stir up shit and drive humanity towards insanity.

real life is always worse than imagination
just look at VR. amazing technology and genuinely fun to play, but it's tiring and too expensive for people so it ended up a niche.

Yeah but isn't it cool and the inevitable future that it sometimes responds the way you expect?

>but it's tiring and too expensive for people so it ended up a niche.
It's actually a niche because faceberg buttfucked the ecosystem that was already in bad shape because they had entirely unrealistic expectations for what people should pay for software because of how high the cost of entry is and basic functionality was a mess of middleware bullshit.
To say it's comparable to AI slop is just being unfamiliar with the ecosystems, which is entirely understandable given how few people actually seriously use VR equipment.

In the end it all comes down to money.

Whining crossdressers don't count as people.

It's facebook you moron, they don't care about money they have infinite gibs from several world governments. It was about influence peddling. If you're being remotely serious about the topic it was more of an issue of planning, competency and the circumstances regarding the typically used middleware for rendering and display standards mostly being wholly inadequate for HMD usage.
Reducing it to your personal envy of those with more money than you is just retarded and unhelpful for both you and anyone unfortunate enough to assume you have a legitimate point to make.

That looks worse than playing ping pong in real life.
Leave your basement for once, please.

Cope. I have a $5000 VR setup. It's one of the greatest experiences you can ever have in gaming.
