I'm not even a Resident Evil fan but every fucking adaptation is like this, chasing the mythical untapped market by assuming they hate the source material, so they take a giant shit on it to appease them while sprinkling as few valid references to the source material as possible to retain the original audience

It's better than all of the Anderson movies combined, even though it has a 1/3 or the soul.
The new movie is the best one however, despite (or because of) having little to do with the games plot.
