I really don't know wtf do people think is so good about these games and I wouldn't call these games ""quality"", not even Elden Ring the game ruined by traversal stutter and obviously awful balance and boss design.I'm not gonna try to convince you because we obviously don't think the same way and that's ok, at least you actually played it yourself so you're far better than all the fromdrones who have never played AC and never will because it's mecha.I'm a big fan of the series so obviously I'm biased, still it blew away all my expectations even after waiting for literally a decade, it's that good a game. Every single aspects of the game is stellar, every single missions were memorable and varied, gameplay is excellent fast and fluid, instant access to 4 weapons at once is cool, the controversial lock-on was handled well by punishing it's abuse, and mech building is awesome because the part selection has purpose to it, there's very few guns and parts that are just copy pastes with better stats, they made melee actually awesome, etcI don't see how the mission or gameplay don't earn a 10/10, you're right that the game is a power fantasy but the bosses brings you back to earth really quicklyBut I had a blast getting through these bosses and I could tell how great their design is and how they take advantage of the game's 3D positioning, it's so much more interesting that dodging with i-frames or spamming L1L1L1.The story was far better than expected, like holy shit it's great, even the villains are likeable. The OST doesn't disappoint even if it lacks Kota's traditional weirdness and Engrish lyrics.
