Online vs. OfflineWhich one you prefer and why?
I don't play Diablo 2 super often but I quite enjoy playing it alone. I tried playing with my cousin once and he's like... super sweaty when it comes to this game, and I couldn't even keep up with him the entire time and it kinda sucked and wasn't fun. So, I'd say alone is better because I can take my time and play the game my way.
the novelty of online wore off as I aged so it's always offline for me.

>>749111821The problem with online ladder grind in this game is that you're severely penalized for playing solo compared to players8, and playing with randos tends to be a crapshoot. You really need a static group to grind optimally. Solo doesn't have this problem.
I started a warlock and didn't like it after act 1. I've never cared about grinding d2 online or off so I just started another necromancer because he's cool for solo play until my retarded build and act 3 combine to annoy me into uninstalling.

>>749116776I'm talking about OG Diablo 2, the game is hard capped 25 FPS offline without mods to unlock it and it definitely affects how smooth the mouse feels. Online you can bypass the fps cap.

Offline. If you play online then you farm for items that are good for other people, not for yourself. You don't find your own valuable items, instead you trade for them. Kind of kills it for me. It's fun with friends of course, but I have no friends and never will.
The one time you snap back to a previous position because the online servers lagged you will never connect to them again.There is that cool effect where the map doesn't load because the servers are borked and you can walk up to unloaded map tiles (the void) but...I'd rather play the game.
