I would be all for remakes and remasters if they provided the old game playable on new hardware in some way shape or form alongside the re-release, but these games are intended to re-write history in a small way. They want new gamers to see this as the definitive way to play a classic games without understanding the basis of where're the game is coming from. All the shit about the 'limitations of the time' means they had to compact their output is just set dressing to justify the existence of the thing. If that was true they'd re-iterate all this stuff over and over and over to keep improving. Not only that; only certain games get the blessing to be brought up to modern standards. I don't buy their methods and they make little sense when often you receive a new game while the older version just gets chucked into the bin of history in favor of money making.
