I think steam buyers need to launch the game atleast once through steam to be able to use nexon launcher to play classic. Unless they have a system set up to regonize accounts with access, but I'd expect the one time launch thingy for steam.You also do not need to download modern maplestory if you play through nexon launcher as on steam it's bundled so you'll have extra bloat if you mind that.I recommend steam for certain countries due to buying NX through steam is cheaper compared to buying NX on Nexon's website.

Not every weapon type can be crafted like Spears and some of them like the level 40+ Magician weapons have additional crafting material requirements like needing a Piece of Ice from the shitty Arwen's Glass Shoe quest which you only have a 50% chance to even get each time you complete the quest. People will also pay a premium for above average statted weapons that you only get through drops.
