The only worthwhile thing about this game was bringing back K. Rool and the Kremling Krew. The game itself is extremely overrated, mainly by people who grew bored of Mario Kart World's open world and had nothing else new to play on their Switch 2s at the time. They NEEDED to consider it amazing to feel confident about their early Switch 2 purchases.

The vision is also pretty strategic in this game sense it is multi layered with buried things you'd never find otherwise. I think the weird thing is that if you actually look at most of the bananas, there are actually hints and little trails that lead you to them but they're all rendered moot (literally who?) by the sonar clap. Like I remember doing the clap in the Western Desert level, seeing one straight below me, and just digging down until I got it. Then after I see that there are actually crystals growing out of the walls that lead back up to a cave entrance that was marked with a small sign. As in, you're supposed to see the sign then follow the crystals down until you reach the banana, but instead they opted to add a button to the game that simply tells you where they all are.There are the challenges/platforming segments that are generally decent, and then the little combat arenas, but personally think the game is markedly worse than Odyssey due to how one-dimensional the banana acquisition is for a majority of the game. People complain about Odyssey's lack of replayability, but I'd consider Bananza much less replayable. Overall I enjoyed the game, and I actually think the final boss is one of the better ones Nintendo has made in a long time, but I did find myself disappointed.
