>>749172556Complaining about Steve just shows you don't watch competitive or pay attention to the game's meta. The literal best Steve player in the world, Acola, doesn't even solo main the character. He fights Hurt's Snake with Game & Watch instead because he knows his Steve will get bodied. Steve is really good and very annoying to fight, but he's nowhere near Smash 4 Bayo or Brawl Meta Knight. He's not significantly more bullshit than any of the other characters which have settled at the top of Ult's meta like Sonic, Aegis, G&W, Snake, Cloud, Rob. Ultimate is obviously the best balanced Smash game by a country mile if you're actually paying attention.

Is getting to Elite Smash hard? I only really played Slippi (Bronze 1 now). Thought about getting a Switch for this Smash.

I don't want the next smash game to have more characters, I want:>actual online netcode, none of those "10 frames of input lag" horse shit>actual matchmaking would be nice too, right now it's too random and unpredictable>cut down on the projectile spam, it's obnoxious to play against>make edgeguarding great again, as it is right now there's pretty much no point to trying; it's too risky for not enough reward, hence why most people opt to just stay next to ledge and spam sh nairs or some other shit>merge echo fighters as alt costumes for the base character slot (Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, Isabelle, Daisy, half the fire emblem characters, etc)>for the love of god give us Break the Targets back, and give it a unique stage for each character>an actual proper single player mode would be nice, not "a bunch of silly wacky event matches, have fun" and no, not subspace either, the gameplay was slow and boring as fuck and people only remember it for the cutscenes
